Southwestern Energy Co. Shower

Charles' company hosted a Baby Shower for us a few weeks ago! We were totally surprised and had not even planned on registering or anything until they started talking to Charles about it and asked him to register for a few things (we maybe registered for more than a few :)! We had it over lunch one day at Catfish Hole....yummy! Even Emily asks to eat there sometimes! They even had cookies from Ricks....delicious!!!!! I could eat those every day! My Mom and Charles' Mom even got to come up which made it extra special! We got so many wonderful things! Charles is so blessed to work with such a great group of people! Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate, we had a great time!

What in the world?!?!

So, a few weeks ago Emily was playing around while Charles and I were watching tv (don't tell anyone :)! We realized she had gotten really quiet and was in the bathroom ALONE! So, we go in there and her hair is all slicked back, greasy and she's standing there playing with it! We were like "Emily, what in the world is in your hair?" And she said "Well (every explanation starts with well now) my hair needed some lotion!" SHEW!!! Fortunately it only took 2 washes with Mommy's Herbal Essence to get it all out, but we have put all lotion up in locked cabinets now :) Both of these pics are before we even put her in the shower....shew :)

Playday at Whit's

A few weeks ago, my friend Brianne was gracious enough to watch Emily so I could go up to do some stuff at church. Thankfully she said Emily was very well behaved except for a minor incident with the next-door-neighbor's dog that even left Brianne shakey :) Apparently it was a pretty big dog, but no injuries to report!

Whit as only 17 months, but he and Emily seem to get along really well. I think Emily likes it because he pretty much just follows her around! He came over here last week while Brianne got her hair done and was a perfect child! He did not cry, fuss, anything! He LOVED Emily's table and chair set, it looks like one might be coming to Clay & Brianne's house sometime soon :) Anyway, Brianne is so good to take pictures of everything and she sent me a few cute ones! I did not take any while he was here, I will have to the next time!

Baby Girl #2 Update

Well, we went to the doctor AGAIN on Wednesday and everything is still looking good. I forgot to ask what the heartbeat was this time, but it is usually around 150 beats a minute. Dr. Smith said everything was going good! I told her nothing can happen over the next week because Charles is going to be out of town and she seemed to think nothing would....yeah :) We go back in 2 weeks! I can't believe I am already 33 weeks, almost 34 weeks! This time it has gone by SO FAST!! I am sorry I don't have any pics with this post, I do not take "tummy pictures" of myself :)

Easter 2009

We had a busy but wonderful Easter this year! It started off at 4:45 AM for me!!! Any of you who know me, know that I am NOT a morning person! Thankfully, God blessed me with Emily who is not really a morning person either....she usually gets up between 8 and 9!!! Anyway, I had to be at church at 6:00 to play handbells for the Sunrise Service. This was my first time at that Service and while we didn't get to see the sun actually rise (thanks to the rain) it was a neat time to celebrate the beginning of the day!

After the service I came home and Emily was still asleep :) When she woke up the Easter Bunny had come and she was excited to see what he brought this year! Her Easter Bunny presents got a special trip on Daddy's company plane to make it just in time for Emily's Easter!

We then went to Sunday School and Church. We took up a whole pew at church with family, but it was nice to have everyone together! After church we came home and had lunch here. Thank you to Uncle Bob who came early and started putting things in the oven. We wouldn't have eaten until 3:00 had it not been for him!!

Visit to the Easter Bunny

Emily did very well with the Easter Bunny this year! We were pleasantly surprised! We even waited until the last minute to see him and had to wait in line for a little while and she just stood there and waved at him! Enjoy the pic!

Easter Fun

We continued our yearly tradition of dying Easter Eggs on Easter Eve! We got Cinderella dye again and she loved it! I think more stickers went on Emily than on the eggs, but that's OK. You can tell she just can't wait until she can actually get her fingers into the dye!

We did our Easter Egg hunt on Saturday instead of Sunday because of the weather. It was such a nice day on Saturday, I wish it had been like that on Sunday! Oh well!! Emily got lots of candy and money for the "Merry GEE Round" at the mall! She is so excited!

She also took some practice "Easter Bunny" pics here at the house. She wanted to pose with her Easter Bunny she said! She's just gotten so big, I can't believe she is already 2 1/2!!!
