Sesame Street Live!

On Saturday, 8/23, Emily got to see Sesame Street Live for her birthday from Mom and Dad! She LOVED it!!! Bub got to experience it with us as well!!! She sang along, danced, clapped...it was more fun to watch her than the show! We will definitely catch it again the next time it comes around. Afterward we went to ride the Carousel and eat in an old train car...just for Bub!

GiGi's Birthday

On Friday, 8/22, we celebrated GiGi's birthday at her favorite restaurant the Lighthouse! Emily loved being right by the water and got to see a barge, a train go across the bridge, water skiers and wave runners! Happy Birthday GiGi!

Lake Fort Smith

We took our first trip to the newly remodeled Lake Fort Smith last weekend (8/16) and had a great time! We started off with a picnic lunch while watching the boats. Then Emily played on the playground and loved it! She actually went down the big slides...what a big girl! Then we had the bright idea to rent a pedal boat for an hour! Let's just say that we lasted 25 minutes on the pedal boat and then returned it for the next person! Emily was really excited to be on a boat on the lake so that made it worth it!

2 Year Professional Pics

On Friday, August 8th, Emily had her 2 year pictures made at Sears. They turned out really cute, even though she was not on her best behavior!!! Take a look!

Emily's New Leotard!

Thanks to Mimi and Bub, Emily has a new leotard for gymnastics!!! She loves it and looks very cute in it :)

1st Trip to the Dentist

Emily made her first visit to the Dentist on 8/14/08. She did GREAT! I was so proud of her. She got x-rays taken and laid up on the chair just like a big girl! She also got new toothpaste, a toothbrush, 2 new duckies for the bathtub, 2 stickers and a free kids meal at Red Robin. She LOVES the dentist now :)

2 Year Old Checkup

On 8/13/08 Emily had her 2 year checkup. She passed with flying colors...of course :) The doc said that her vocabulary was exceptional and she was really impressed with how much she talked at her age (and Emily didn't even show her what she can really do...sing songs, say the alphabet, count to 20, etc. :). She weighed 29 lbs. and was 34" tall. We had already realized this at Silver Dollar City this summer...the magic number to ride the rides there is 36"!! She had to get one shot and she did not even cry!! What a big girl!!!!

Emily's 2nd Birthday!

Last week was Emily's 2nd Birthday! On Friday the 8th she had her 2 year pictures made! She didn't do quite as well with them as she has in the past. She has decided that she is afraid of the flash now! Then she had lunch at her favorite restaurant ~ Chick Fil A :) She took a good nap and was then ready to party on at Chuck E. Cheese!! She loves to ride the rides and play the games. She (and Mommy & Daddy) won enough tickets to get a Hello Kitty purse!!

On Saturday EVERYONE came for her Birthday Party. She had cake and ice cream and opened tons of presents!! She got all kinds of new toys, baby dolls, dress up clothes, books and puzzles!! She doesn't know what to do with all of them! Thank you to everyone who came and for giving her a GREAT 2ND BIRTHDAY!!
